Beverly Road, Park Construction

Resurfacing of Beverly Road between Southfield and Evergreen commences Monday. In addition to the road, crews will resurface the Beverly Park parking lot. Some equipment will be parked at Beverly Park during the project and the east entrance to the park parking lot will be closed.

Summer Picnic at the BASCC

Join the Birmingham Area Seniors Coordinating Council for its annual celebration in the courtyard at 11 a.m. Aug. 13. The Silver Strings Dulcimer Society will perform and food will be available. The cost is $8.

Jazz lecture with RJ Spangler

Detroit-based drummer, producer and manager  RJ Spangler will take an audience on a journey to the jump and swing jazz era of the 40s and 50s from 7-9 p.m. at the Baldwin Public Library.


Woodward Dream Cruise

Time to celebrate the motor city in a truly unique way with the annual pilgrimage to Woodward Avenue for the Woodward Dream Cruise. Birmingham's Classic Car Show will occupy Old Woodward between Lincoln and Merrill street rom 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the city will host WXYZ Channel 7 for their live broadcast beginning at 7 p.m. near the 555 Building.
