Bottomless Toy Chest to Give Cancer Patients Red-Carpet Treatment

The area non-profit will be treating young cancer patients and their families to a private screening of 'Spider-Man' next week.

A Birmingham-based non-profit is looking to make the lives of young cancer patients a little brighter next week.

The will be hosting a special outing for seven pediatric cancer patients and their families this Wednesday, giving them the red-carpet treatment at Birmingham's .

On Aug. 8, area cancer patients and their families will be given a limo ride to the Palladium 12, where they'll walk the red carpet, be treated to a private showing of Spider-Man and receive a free lunch and several other surprises.

The afternoon out has been donated by All Star Limo and Uptown Entertainment, which owns the Palladium.

"This event is designed to give the patients and their families a much-needed break from the strain and stress of going through cancer treatment," said the Bottomless Toy Chest's Samantha Stover in a recent press release.
