Cranberries - a SUPER Superfood!
Cranberries, a low calorie superfood, packs a powerful nutritional punch, containing more disease-fighting antioxidants than strawberries, spinach, red grapes, apples, raspberries or cherries.
Cranberries, a superfood, should not only be enjoyed at holiday time, but all year round. At only 45 calories per cup, these tart little rosy berries pack a powerful punch, containing more disease-fighting antioxidants than the best of them. They beat out strawberries, spinach, red grapes, apples, raspberries and cherries – only the blueberry can top the cranberry in antioxidant content, not to mention high levels of Vitamin C and fiber.
Take advantage of fresh cranberries this time of year, but remember frozen cranberries are available year-round in the frozen food aisle.
I especially like this recipe, because it combines tart and sweet, is fast and simple to make AND it is sooooooo DELICIOUS. EnJOY!
