Kathy Quigley – (Lacrosse): Kathy Quigley helped the Birmingham United varsity girls lacrosse team go 3-0 last week. She had three goals and three assists in a 22-6 win over Lake Orion to start the week on Monday. On Thursday, she had three goals in a 14-8 win over Sacred Heart and on Friday she had five more goals and two assists in a big 14-2 win over Troy.

Emerson Misch – (Baseball): Emerson Misch was a difference-maker for the Andover High School varsity baseball team this week. He was the offensive standout for the Barson in a 6-1 win over district rival on Wednesday with two hits, two runs and two RBI. He was the winning pitcher in a 10-0 five inning game on Tuesday, striking out six batters. In two mercy rule wins on Saturday over Lamphere, Misch hit a homerun and had two RBI in the first game. In the second game, he hit an RBI single.

Haley Zemmer  – (Softball): Haley Zemmer continues to dominate from the softball mound. She helped the Troy Athens varsity softball team clinch a share of a division title on Wednesday by sweeping a doubleheader over Avondale 9-1 and 14-3 (six innings). She pitched complete games in both wins and striking out 14 batters. Over the weekend at the 34th annual Fred Pieper Softball Tournament, she won three games on the first day of the tournament and struck out over 30 batters. .

Tess Wilberding – (Track and Field): Tess Wilberding won two races at the Oakland Activities Association Blue league championships last week to help the Seaholm girls win the meet and its division. Wilberding won the 1,600-meter (5:17.02) and 3,200-meter races (11:12.66). The Maples beat city-rival by 20 points to take first place at the meet (153 to 133).
