Detroit Lions Make the Playoffs: Did You Watch?
Throughout Metro Detroit, as well as on the Internet, Lions fans toasted the team's first berth in the playoffs since 1999.
As Christmas Eve mass started at in Shelby Township about 4 p.m. Saturday, the priest began by saying, "Now, I understand there is another big event going on today ..." Several parishioners silently sighed and turned off their Lions-attuned smart phones.
Lions fans everywhere took a few extra minutes from holiday celebrations and Saturday evening festivities to let out a whoop after the 38-10 victory over the Chargers, earning the team its first playoff trip since 1999. Here are a few of the highlights from around the Internet.
