Friday Night Round-Up: Groves, Seaholm Both Fall to Opponents

Last night, Lahser defeats Groves 35-6 while Seaholm falls to Detroit Country Day 35-21.

Friday was a disappointing night for Birmingham-area football teams.

Groves High School

At , the Falcons fell to Lahser 35-6 during their first home game of the season. According to MI Prep Zone, Groves' only touchdown was scored by Ross Williams who made a four-yard run.

Seaholm High School

The boys from were also disappointed Friday night, with a loss to Detroit Country Day breaking their brief shutout streak. The Maples lost the Country Day at home 35-21. Senior quarterback Stephen Guenther ran for one of the touchdowns, while throwing two more to Jake Martin and Matt Brown.
