Fracassa Leads Brother Rice Into State Finals For Last Time

The Warriors seek a third consecutive title and fine send-off for the legendary coach.


The MHSAA football finals are here, and the Brother Rice Warriors will try to make history by winning their third-consecutive Division 2 title against Muskegon in one of four games slated today. Head Coach Al Fracassa, the winningest coach is state history, will lead his team for the final time as he plas to retire after four decades of coaching. 

The game is a rematch of last season's finale, which Brother Rice won by a touchdown.

If you go:

  • Brother Rice will host guests and members of the school community at 11 a.m. at Cheli’s Chili Bar. A buffet and drink specials will be available at this family-friendly event.
  • Official parking spaces are available in Olympia Entertainment lots adjacent to Ford Field and Comerica Park for $6. Other area vendors may charge differently. 
  • Game time is 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are good for other games. No re-entry is permitted, however. 
  • Division 8 -- 10 a.m.
    Division 2 -- 1 p.m.
    Division 6 -- 4:30 p.m.
    Division 4 -- 7:30 p.m.
