Calling All Birmingham Brother Rice Football Fans — Who’s Your Warrior?

With the third-straight Division 2 state title and Head Coach Al Fracassa's legacy cemented, we want to hear about your favorite player on the 2013 Brother Rice Warriors.

As Brother Rice High School fans bask in the glory of another state title following Friday's 38-21 victory over Muskegaon, we wondered who impressed  you the most during this undefeated season that ended in storybook fashion for retiring coach Al Fracassa.

Was it quarterback Alex Malzone  who's accuracy and leadership piloted five touchdown-scoring drives Friday at Ford Field?

Or maybe it was the stellar tandem of receivers he threw to. Corey Lacanaria hauled in 10 passes for an impressive 125 yards and a touchdown, and teammate Grant Perry caught five for 91 yards and two scores.

Or you could be a fan of defense and consistency, both of which were provided by senior Jason Alessi, who kicked an MHSAA-record tying 16th field goal this season, and made several impact plays in the Warriors secondary.

So tell us, who and what is special about this Brother Rice team?
