  • Achievement: More than 200 students from all three high schools received a certificate of recognition from the Detroit Association of Phi Beta Kappa, a national scholastic honor society. Students had to maintain a 3.75 grade-point average in their academic career to receive the honor.
  • Key to awesomeness: More than 3,600 graduating seniors from 109 public, private and parochial high schools in southeastern Michigan received recognition from Phi Beta Kappa this year. "These students have earned recognition as future leaders and scholars by doing what it takes to rank at the head of their classes, and they deserve all the praise and recognition we can give them,” said Seymour J. Wolfson, president of the organization.
