The Big Game is Friday, So Show Us Your School Spirit Seaholm and Groves

Birmingham's two high schools face off on the football field this Friday during Groves' homecoming celebrations, and we want to know who has the most school spirit.

Some surrounding schools have to do quite a bit of traveling for their rivalry football games.

In Birmingham, we just drive a short distance down Cranbrook/Evergreen.

This Friday, Seaholm and Groves' varsity football teams face off for the first time this season during Groves' homecoming celebration. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. at Falcon field.

But which team has the most spirited supporters? We want to know which school has the most spirit, so here's our challenge to you: upload your favorite photos or videos of Seaholm or Groves, including your favorite displays of the school colors, straight to this story.

Friday night, we'll tally up the uploads and announce the winner in our coverage of the homecoming game Saturday morning. Upload as many pictures as you want and if you're having trouble getting started, check out this short how-to video.

Plus, if you're heading to the game Friday night, show up at 6 p.m. for a free tailgating party from the Birmingham Education Foundation. Hotdogs, beverages and pom-pons will be available, with entertainment provided by both marching bands.

Yesterday on my street, I saw a tree, on city property, with 'stuff' piled high around the base ofRead More the tree. I tried to tell the two gentlemen there it would eventually kill the tree. 'Not so!' they replied, according to, I believe, their landscaper. They then proceeded to try and placate this nosy gray haired woman. Maybe someone from the city could clue them in??
