Birmingham Preschoolers Team Up With Seniors for Hat, Scarf Drive

Preschoolers from the Midvale Early Childhood Center helped collect hats, mittens and scarves for Lighthouse of Oakland County.

Some Birmingham preschoolers got the chance to give back to the community this winter, teaming up with the Birmingham Area Senior Center (BASCC) to donate hats, mittens and scarves for Lighthouse of Oakland County, which provides various services to low-income families throughout the county.

This year, the group was able to donate several items to Lighthouse just in time for the holiday snowstorm that hit in the days before Christmas. Both the Midvale Early Childhood Center and Senior Center share the same building on Midvale, behind Seaholm High School.
