Writing What You Know

Veteran journalist Marney Rich Keenan of Bloomfield Township discusses how anyone can use life experiences and relationships to write meaningful, high-impact journal entries, essays, letters or longer narratives.

The free, public event begins with a half-hour continental breakfast and is followed by a networking reception from 10-11 a.m.

Keenan,  lifestyle reporter and columnist for The Detroit News since 1989, will speak as part of a four-lecture series sponsored by Community Education through Collaboration and Communication (CECAC). Earlier in her career, she was a contributing editor to The Chicago Tribune's weekly  magazine and a senior editor at Detroit Monthly magazine.
