As parents, you are involved with your child’s school, friends and activities and you work tirelessly to keep your children safe and happy. However, when it comes to social media, do you feel overwhelmed with “what goes on” on and can’t help but feel a bit behind? This class is intended to narrow the “participation gap.” Whether you personally want to utilize social media more or just have a more thorough understanding of these platforms, this class will address intricacies of these online communities so you can stay in pace with your bright children.

We will cover:

-Social media community activity

-Rules & guidelines, best practice suggestions

-Privacy settings and real-life applications

-Social media by way of mobile device

In this session, Instructor & Social Media Consultant Emily A. Hay, will help moms and dads see the big social media picture. This class is an awareness session for parents, not a parent-child workshop.

Emily A. Hay is the Founder of Hay There Social Media, LLC. With a background in sales & marketing, she focuses on getting social media results for individuals and small business clients. Her company delivers solutions that ensure social media is used effectively and with purpose.
