Birmingham, Beverly Hills Residents Receive Marian 2012-13 Scholarships

Marian awarded two dozen students nearly $40,000 in scholarships for the school year, including several to local residents.

With the 2012-13 school year one week old, Marian High School has announced the recipients of the school's 2012-13 scholarships.

To receive a scholarship to Marian, recipients must first be nominated or apply, submit essays and in some cases, personally interview with Marian staff. This year's two-dozen honorees received nearly $40,000 in combined scholarships.

“We are grateful to those who established special tributes in honor of or in memory of individuals close to the Marian community,” said Sr. Lenore Pochelski, IHM, Marian President, in a recent press release. “Through their generosity, the gift of a Marian education is shared with many young women each year.”
