2010 MEAP Scores: Seaholm High School

Seaholm's social studies scores above state averages by almost 20 percentage points.

Results for the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) exam were released March 31, and Birmingham students continue to excel.

“We continue to do very well,” Birmingham Community Relations director Marcia Wilkinson said. “We’re very pleased with the scores.”

During the MEAP exam, taken during fall 2010, students in grades 3-9 were tested in math, reading, writing, social studies and/or science, depending on the grade level.

At the high school level, ninth-graders were tested in social studies.

At , students exceeded the state average for social studies — statewide, 73 percent of ninth-graders met proficiency standards in the subject. The following charts take a look at the percentage of students who met or exceededproficiency standards on their MEAP exams.
