2010 MEAP Scores: Quarton Elementary School

At Quarton Elementary, 100 percent of third- and fourth-graders meet or exceed proficiency standards in math.

Results for the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) exam were released March 31, and Birmingham students continue to excel.

“We continue to do very well,” Birmingham Community Relations director Marcia Wilkinson said. “We’re very pleased with the scores.”

During the MEAP exam, taken during fall 2010, students in grades 3-9 were tested in math, reading, writing, social studies and/or science, depending on the grade level.

At the elementary level, all students in grades 3-5 were tested in math and reading. In addition, fourth-graders were tested in writing and fifth-graders were tested in science.

At , students exceeded state averages in all subjects. The following charts take a look at the percentage of students who met or exceeded proficiency standards on their MEAP exams.
