Busy Final Filing Day for Nov. 5 Election in Birmingham

Three out of the five candidates seeking a spot on the City Commission submitted nominating petitions Tuesday.

Tuesday's filing deadline for the Nov. 5 general election was rather busy at the Birmingham City Clerk's Office.

Three of the five candidates for the Birmingham City Commission submitted their nominating petitions on Tuesday, and the other two submitted on Monday, according to the Oakland County Clerk's Office. Here are the names that will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot, voters will choose three to serve a four-year term:

  • Rackeline Hoff
  • Mark Nickita
  • Stuart Sherman
  • Johanna Slanga
  • Vicki Walsh 

Baldwin Public Library

Three spots on the Baldwin Public Library Board are up as well on Nov. 5. The candidate, all from Birmingham as they will appear on the ballot.
