Wedding Photographer's Camera Stolen at the Townsend Hotel

The Birmingham Police Department provided the following information. Arrests, where they are mentioned do not indicate conviction.

The following are highlights of the latest reports from the Birmingham Police Department.

Auto Theft
A resident in the 100 block of St. Andrews Street reported his LaForza SUV was stolen from where he parked it on Aug. 4, report said. The vehicle is white with chrome wheels and a beige interior. The owner has the keys and is unsure how the suspect gained access to the vehicle. There are no suspects or witnesses.
The theft occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 and 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, reports said.

Larcenies
A wedding photographer's Canon camera was stolen from the Townsend Hotel sometime between 8-10 p.m. Aug. 3, police reports said. The owner put the camera down on a bench near the elevators and it was later reported missing. A lens, flash, battery and memory card are also missing. Police are reviewing surveillance videos, but no suspect information was available.

A woman reported her wallet was stolen while she was studying at Panera Bread. The victim told police she got up to refill her drink at about 6 p.m. on Aug. 3 and when she returned, her wallet was missing. Police are investigating.

MDOP
A woman reported someone broke the passenger side window of her vehicle while it was parked in the 700 block of Adams at about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 5, reports said. Nothing was missing from inside the vehicle, and there are no suspects or witnesses.
