Vehicles Stolen From Birmingham Home Found in Detroit

The Birmingham Police Department provided the following information. Arrests, where they are mentioned, do not indicate conviction.

Officers with the Birmingham Police Department are investigating the theft of two vehicles from outside a home in the 1100 block of Glenhurst Street, reports said.

A resident called police after discovering a Dodge Durango and Chrysler 300, were stolen from the driveway on Sept. 26. A set of keys to both vehicles was missing from the kitchen counter, and the victim believes the suspect or suspects entered the home and took them sometime between 9 p.m. Sept. 25 and 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 26.

Nothing else was missing from the home and there was no sign of forced entry, reports said. Both vehicles were later found in Detroit.

Funny Money

A few Birmingham businesses recently reported getting counterfeit money from customers, according to police reports. Sanders reported receiving two counterfeit twenty dollar bills last week, which followed a report from Biggby Coffee about fake $20 bills. Anyone who has questions about counterfeit currency, or suspects they received counterfeit bills are encouraged to contact Birmingham Police Lt. Michael Albrecht at 248-530-1762.
