Battery cores stolen from Batteries Plus

Birmingham Police are investigating after five automotive battery cores worth $200 were stolen from Batteries Plus sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. According to police reports, this is the second battery core theft at Batteries Plus in a week.

Employees catch man stealing Tigers hats from Varsity Shop

A man was arrested on theft charges last Friday afternoon after Varsity Shop, route: {:controller=>"listings", :action=>"show", :id=>"the-varsity-shop"} --> employees told police they caught him stealing Detroit Tigers hats. According to police reports, employees saw the man place three ballcaps under his coat around 12:45 p.m. Friday at the downtown sports shop.
