Teens Arrested For Fighting at Pierce Elementary in Birmingham

The Birmingham Police Department provided the following information. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

Officers with the Birmingham Police Department arrested two teens for fighting in the parking lot of Pierce Elementary School last week, according to reports. 

Police responded to reports of juveniles fighting at the school at about 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3 and made contact with the individuals said to be involved.  Officers arrested a 17-year-old Bloomfield Hills boy and a 16-year-old Birmingham resident for disorderly conduct. No injuries were reported, and no further details were available. 

Cell Phone Stolen

A patron of the Birmingham Theatre called police to report her phone was stolen after she left it behind during a movie last week, reports said. 

The woman told officers she inadvertently left the phone on the arm rest of her chair after the movie ended and walked away. It was gone when she returned for it a few minutes later, reports said. No witnesses or suspect information was available.
