Teen says car full of young men tried to rob him

A Birmingham 16-year-old said a car full of young men tried to rob him last Friday. According to police reports, the teen was riding his skateboard home around 9:45 p.m. on June 29 near Oakland Avenue and Woodward. He told police that four young men in a black Chevrolet Cruze approached him. One of the men, he said, got out and demanded his money.

The teen fled on skateboard, police say, and told one of his parents about the incident, noting that he saw the car pull into . The parent went to the park and tried to talk to the men, but they fled, police reports say. Detectives are currently investigating.

Police nab 20-year-old for alleged alcohol possession

Police are still looking for a young man who ran away from officers early Tuesday morning.

According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw two young men walking near Derby and Adams at 3:10 a.m., carrying several items. When the officer stopped to talk to them, both ran away, reports state. One of the men dropped a bag with liquor inside.

One man — a 20-year-old from Sterling Heights — was found hiding behind a garage on Kennesaw. According to police reports, the officer believed the man had been consuming alcohol and took him into custody on minor in possession charges. Police are still searching for the second man.

Limo driver says she was assaulted by parking attendant

Police are investigating after a limo driver said a valet parking attendant assaulted her early Sunday morning.

According to police reports, the limo driver was waiting for guests outside a private party on the 500 block of Aspen around 1 a.m. Sunday. According to reports, the limo driver then got into an argument with one of the valets about the limo blocking the road. The limo driver told police the valet assaulted her by grabbing her arm, while the valet said no assault occurred.

Rock thrown from apartment roof damages car

Police are looking for someone who threw a rock at a 2007 Aston Martin parked in an alley on the 300 block of Pierce. According to police, the rock was thrown from the roof of the around 3 p.m. Tuesday, hitting the car's back panel. Police said witnesses saw the rock hit the car but was unable to see who threw it.
