Rolex, Cash Stolen From Lockers at Birmingham YMCA

Police reports said the locks on both lockers were cut off.

Officers with the Birmingham Police Department investigated multiple reports of larcenies from lockers at the Birmingham YMCA last week.

Police responded to the center before closing time on Friday, Nov. 22 and met with a patron who said cash was stolen from his locker inside the men's locker room, reports said. The man said he used a combination lock, but that it and the cash were gone when he returned from his workout. 

The theft reportedly occurred between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. There were no witnesses and no suspect information was available. 

Officers also responded to the YMCA on Nov. 20 after a man reported a Rolex watch was stolen from his locker while working out. The man said he locked the locker with a combination lock, however someone cut the bolt and stole the watch. The estimated value was not reported. 

The theft reportedly occurred between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. No witness or suspect information was available and police continue to investigate.
