Man with marijuana pulled over on Southfield

Police arrested a man Sunday on marijuana possession charges. According to police reports, the man was pulled over around 6:45 a.m. Nov. 18 for speeding on Southfield Road, south of Hanna. Police say the man had a warrant out of Ypsilanti for his arrest, and at the time, was in possession of marijuana.

The man was issued a citation for possession of a controlled substance, released on $100 cash bond, given a court date and turned over to the Ypsilanti Police Department.

Woman caught drunk driving at Woodward and Bennaville

A Warren woman was arrested on drunk driving charges last weekend. According to police reports, the woman was pulled over around 2:30 a.m. Saturday near Woodward and Bennaville for running a stop sign and driving erratically. She then failed a sobriety test, police say, and was taken into custody. Her blood alcohol level, reports state, was 0.11 percent. This was the woman's second drunk driving charge, after she was charged for a 2010 incident in Roseville.

Wallet goes missing from Treasure Trunk restroom

A woman reported that her purse was stolen from a restroom at Treasure Trunk of Birmingham on Nov. 15. The woman told police she accidentally left her purse in the store's restroom and went home around 3 p.m. on Nov. 15. When she realized her purse was missing, she called the store but employees said it was no longer in the restroom. Items in her purse include a checbook, driver's license, a fuchsia wallet, credit cards and $2 in cash.

Man stuffs a dress down his pants, is caught on camera at Complex

A man was arrested two weekends ago for allegedly stuffing a dress from Birmingham's Complex boutique down his pants. A video from Complex dated Nov. 11 shows a man and woman taking a dress from the rack; the man then stuffed the dress down his pants, reports state, and left without paying for it.

The couple returned to the store the next day and once employees recognized them, called the Birmingham Police Department. The man was arrested for second degree retail fraud.

Police break up fight at ice rink

Police had to break up a fight at the Birmingham Ice Sports Arena last week. According to police reports, witnesses say the two men were being aggressive toward each other during a hockey game on Nov. 14, using foul language and pushing each other. All parties completed witness statements at the ice rink and left without further incident.

Residents claims caregiver stole medicine, drinking glasses

A caregiver is suspected of stealing medication and more from a resident living on the 1100 block of Maple. According to police reports, the residents reported the incident around 3 p.m. Nov. 8, saying they suspect the caregiver took medications, a Quicken Loans disc, makeup and eight drinking glasses.
