No seatbelts gets driver cited for suspended license

cited a man at 3:15 a.m. Sunday morning for driving with a suspended license on Old Woodward Avenue. According to police reports, officers watched the car driving northbound on Old Woodward and noticed all three male occupants weren’t wearing seatbelts. Meanwhile, the three men began to yell obscenities at the officers through an open window. When police pulled them over for not wearing seatbelts, they discovered the driver had a suspended license.

Son hides $1,000 in jewelry

Police were called to a residence on Adams Road the evening of Feb. 4 after a woman reported there was $1,000 worth of jewelry missing from her bedroom. The woman told police she believed her son, a juvenile, took the jewelry. The son later admitted to taking the jewelry and hiding it ouside. The jewelry was returned and the case was turned over to detectives and the parents.

Scratches found on car on East Lincoln

A man discovered large scratch marks on the hood and driver’s side of his car, which had been parked on the 1400 block of East Lincoln in front of his house. The incident happened between Feb. 2 and Feb. 7, police reports say. So far, there were no suspects.
