Mustang Ends Up on Birmingham Front Lawn After Hit-and-Run

Police arrested a Beverly Hills 21-year-old after he hit two cars on 14 Mile, ended up on a front lawn and then fled the scene.

Birmingham Police arrested a Beverly Hills man earlier this week on drunk driving charges after he drove his Ford Mustang up and onto a front lawn on 14 Mile Road.

Police officers were first dispatched to 1100 block of 14 Mile Road around 1 a.m. Tuesday to investigate a hit-and-run accident. According to reports, a Mustang had lost control making a turn, crashed into two cars and ended up on a resident's front lawn. The car then fled the scene, police say.

However, officers were able to follow the fluid trail to a home on the 1000 block of Chapin and found the driver, a 21-year-old man from Beverly Hills. Police say he was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
