Multiple Vehicle Break-ins at Lincoln Hills Golf Course

Thieves targeted locked and unlocked vehicles at the Lincoln Hills Golf Course, according to Birmingham police.


The Birmingham Police Department is investigating multiple vehicle break-in reports from people that parked at Lincoln Hills Golf Course last week. 

A resident using the Dog Park reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the Lincoln Hills Golf Course parking lot at about 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 12. The vehicle was unlocked, reports said.

Earlier that day, Police took a report from a man and woman who said multiple items were stolen from their vehicle after the front passenger window was shattered at the Lincoln Hills Golf Course parking lot. Two other women also reported their purses were stolen from their vehicles during the afternoon. 

Officers also responded to reports of five vehicle burglaries in the Maple and Lake Park area on Oct. 12. Authorities in Bloomfield Township and Royal Oak are currently investigating similar incidents during the past week. 

Other incidents:

  • A woman in the 900 block of Puritan reported her backpack was stolen from her unlocked vehicle sometime overnight between Oct. 11 and Oct. 12.
  • A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Fourteen Mile Road sometime between 5 p.m. Oct. 10 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 14.

No suspect information was available in any of the incidents. Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 248-530-1870.
