Man Purposely Damages Another Vehicle With His Own in Birmingham

Birmingham police are investigating an unusual incident in the Chester Street Parking Structure.

The holiday season is known to bring about some strange behavior, but Birmingham police are taking a closer look at some recent activity in one of the city's parking structure.

A Central Parking employee told police they saw a man attempting to park a Toyota Prius in a tight spot in the Chester Street Parking Structure at about 11 a.m. Nov. 19. The man parked, exited his vehicle, and then grabbed his own front driver side door with both hands and repeatedly struck it against a Jeep parked next to it. He then kicked the rear bumper of the Jeep.

No damage estimates to the other vehicle were available. Police are investigating and trying to identify the man.
