Man Buys Fake Kanye West Tickets in Birmingham

Police reports said at least 10 other fans may have purchased the same bogus tickets to the Grammy-winner's show at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

A Bloomfield Township man called the Birmingham Police Department last week after he was denied entry to the Palace of Auburn Hills for a Kanye West concert because of bogus tickets.

The man told police found tickets to the Dec. 19 Kanye West — the Yeezus Tour concert online and contacted the seller, who asked to meet at Cafe Via in Birmingham to make the transaction. The man paid $200 for two tickets to the show, which was postponed from last November, reports said.

The tickets turned out to be fraudulent and the man learned that at least ten other people at the Palace had the same duplicate tickets. No physical description of the seller was available and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 248-530-1870.
