iPhone Taken at Seaholm; Contractor Suspected in Jewelry Theft

The Birmingham Police Department provided the following information. Arrests, where they are mentioned to not indicate conviction.


Officers with the Birmingham Police Department investigated multiple larceny complaints reported by citizens last week. Here are the highlights from recent reports.

  • A 17-year-old student at Seaholm High School reported that his iPhone was taken from the men's locker room during football practice on Sept. 11. Police there was a witness and that officers are investigating multiple potential suspects, reports said. The theft occurred a about 8 p.m.
  • A resident in the 1300 block of Fairfax reported two rings were missing and stolen from her jewelry box. The theft reportedly occurred sometime between Sept. 6 and Sept. 13. A contractor working at the house during that time period is a possible suspect and questioned by police.
