Break-in Reported at Birmingham's Dairy Mat
The Birmingham Police Department provided the following information. Arrests, where they are mentioned do not indicate conviction.
Detectives with the Birmingham Police Department are investigating a burglary at the Dairy Mat reported over the weekend.
Employees called police shortly after they arrived for work Sunday morning to report someone broke into the business. Police said the back door's bar gate padlock was cut open and removed, and the screen door and wooden door were both forced open.
The intruder or intruders took an undisclosed amount of cash, and no suspect information was available. The burglary reportedly occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 and 11 a.m. the next day.
