- An Eastpointe man remains at the Oakland County Jail facing charges stemming from his arrest in Birmingham last week, police reports said. An officer on patrol saw a vehicle speeding and weaving between lane of Woodward Avenue near Manor Street at about 5 a.m. Sept. 29. The driver, 44, was under the influence of alcohol, and police found an open bottle of liquor, a loaded .38 caliber revolver and marijuana inside the vehicle, reports said. Officers arrested him without incident, and is charged with operating while intoxicated, carrying a dangerous weapon and possession of marijuana.
- A Birmingham officer on patrol stopped a vehicle that had expired plates in the area of Adams Street and Lincoln at about 2 a.m. on Oct. 2, reports said. A passenger, a 19-year old Beverly Hills man, had marijuana and was arrested without incident. He He received a citation for marijuana possession in a motor vehicle and was released on bond pending an upcoming court date.
