Upon going outside, the resident saw a vehicle had struck his car and pushed it up into a neighbor's yard and a tree, reports state. The vehicle responsible for the damage was being driven by a man, the resident told police, and he had a passenger with him. The car then traveled east on Lincoln, turning north on Torry, the resident told police.

Officers responding to the area found the suspect's vehicle stopped at Cole and Adams, with substantial front-end damage, police reports state. After speaking with the driver, officers reported they believed him to be intoxicated. He refused a Breathalyzer test, so a search warrant was obtained for a forensic blood draw to determine his blood alcohol level.
