Favorite film opinions are as diverse as moviegoers, and this week is an ideal time to share your choice for which nominee deserves the Best Picture statue this weekend.
We're interested in taste, not predictions. So click the movie you think should win, not necessarily which will snag the final Academy Award presented Sunday night.
The Oscars show, hosted by Bill Crystal for a ninth time, starts at 8:30 p.m. on ABC after 90 minutes of red carpet arrival scenes outside the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. By 11:30 p.m. or so, optimistically speaking, we'll see whether the favorite film among Michigan Patch readers also is the industry's choice.
In the meantime, you're invited to talk about these nine movies and others from 2011 in the comments. Everyone's a reviewer, so tell us what's behind your vote.
To see all nominees in 23 other categories, here's a list at Huffington Post.
Thanks to all 200+ movie fans who voted, including those counted separately on later polls at three Michigan Patch sites.
