Holiday Guide: Friends Holiday Bazaar

Looking to get in the holiday spirit? Birmingham Patch has your holiday events and stories to ring in the season.

Patch is getting you ready for the holiday season, bringing you what you need to know with a full lineup of events, photos and stories. Today we're talking about:

Birmingham Public School's Friends of Different Learners will be hosting third annual Holiday Bazaar Thursday evening, where you can pick up your holiday gifts all the while making a difference in the process.

The Friends of Different Learners, founded in 2000 by a group of Birmingham parents, is an organization dedicated to maximizing the potential of Birmingham students with learning disabilities, as well students with different learning styles.

For the third year now, they've hosted a bazaar featuring items from area artisans, with part of the proceeds going toward the Friends and their projects. Featured at this year's bazaar is jewelry, handmade soaps, books, photography and more, as well as gifts for adults and children of all ages.
