Toast de Mayo

is partnering with the to host Toast de Mayo on May 3.

Benefiting , this elegant Cinco de Mayo fiesta includes a strolling dinner featuring items from Toast’s spring menu and a special tasting of tequila from Tres Agaves, Latin American wines and Sangria. A silent auction, celebrity guest bartenders, fun and games, and live music by Mariachi Cristal also are among the evening’s festivities.

Tickets can be purchased for $90 at the door or online at www.supportBEF.org. Proceeds from the event benefit Birmingham Public Schools and important programs such as its upcoming NASA Day, a special district-wide event that will enable BPS students to interact live with a flight engineer on the International Space Station.

Toast de Mayo is the second spring event hosted by Toast Restaurant, to benefit Birmingham Public Schools. Last year's Spring White Party was a great success and the proceeds from Toast de Mayo event will support underfunded programs in the district.

“We have always valued the communities where we do business and treat them like family,” said Thom Bloom, owner of Toast Restaurants. “A strong public school system is the backbone of our communities, and we are grateful to be able to support the Birmingham Education Foundation and Birmingham Public Schools.”
