Young Artists Concert

YOUNG ARTIST COMPETITION AND CONCERT

After an overwhelming response to last year’s Young Artist Concert, we are pulling out all the stops again! Come and hear the most talented Young Artists from around metro-Detroit in a thrilling evening of music on Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. This year’s concert features the music of Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Mendelssohn, and Sibelius (to name a few!). Accompanied by a full professional orchestra, these young soloists will amaze you with their virtuosity and musicality. If you only go to one classical music event this year, make it this one!  No one will leave disappointed.

Young singers and instrumentalists, ranging in age from high school students to 28, were invited to audition for the opportunity to perform a concerto or aria with a professional orchestra and for cash prizes.  Applicants auditioned before a panel of distinguished local musicians and teachers. This final concert of the Live @ First series is one that you will not want to miss. Tickets, $15 for adults and $5 for students, are available at www.liveatfirst.org, in the church office, or by calling the Music Office (248-646-6407 ext. 3125). The church is located at 1589 W. Maple Road (between Southfield and Cranbrook) in Birmingham.
