Detroit native and klezmer performer Yale Strom & Hot Pstromi will perform March 16th at 7:00pm at the beautiful Berman Center for the Performing Arts, 6600 West Maple Road, West Bloomfield, MI. Yale Strom, violin, composer, filmmaker, writer, photographer, and playwright is a pioneer among revivalists in conducting extensive field research in Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans among the Jewish and Roma communities.  The audience can expect to hear traditional Yiddish folk songs and klezmer melodies from Strom’s field research. Hot Pstromi joins Yale Strom. The group was formed in 1982 after Strom, a classical violinist for 13 years, left law school and went to Eastern Europe to discover the origins of klezmer music.
