Tin Whistle Concert

42nd Annual Tin Whistle Concert
November 9, 2013

The Paint Creek Folklore Society invites everybody to enjoy a special night of music in Rochester Hills on November 9th.   Our 42nd Tin Whistle Concert will feature headliners Potter’s Field and Annie & Rod Capps.

Potter’s Field (aka John Natiw and Rochelle Clark) give a progressive edge to folk, Americana and roots music.  They tour the Midwest with haunting original songs that immerse you in the moment with pleasing and unexpected turns.

Annie & Rod Capps have a rootsy vibe, a touch of twang and a soulful groove.  Based in Michigan, they write and perform songs that are fun, brilliant, and often poignant.  They will be joined by mandolin artist Jason Dennie, forming a masterful trio that makes it all look easy.

Opening sets include Dotty Decker, an accomplished blues singer and hammered dulcimer player, and local songwriter, cover artist, and performer Roger Blair.

Mark your calendar - Saturday, November 9, 2013, in the Fellowship Hall at University Presbyterian Church in Rochester Hills, 1385 S. Adams, on the east side between Hamlin and Avon.  The hall is handicap friendly and smoke-free.  Great food & beverages will be available.  Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the concert starts at 7:30 PM.  Tickets are still just $15.  Some may be available at the door, though we have had some sell-out performances.  It’s best to call (248) 889-3013 now and reserve yours now!
