Light the Village 2013 — 850,000 Lights On All At Once

On Friday, Nov. 22, the switch on 850,000 lights will be flipped, illuminating the Village of Rochester Hills and signaling the beginning of a Metro Detroit holiday tradition.

It’ll also include the first appearance of Santa Claus and the debut of the 25-foot tall tree.

Beginning at 5:30 with live entertainment and activities that are fun for the whole family and will include special guest Jay Towers and local musician Jennifer Kincer.

Then at 6:45, Towers, Kincer, Rochester Hills mayor Bryan K. Barnett and Santa and Mrs. Claus, will gather on stage to lead the countdown to the lights coming on.

The event is free to attend, but the community is asked to bring a toy to donate to The Salvation Army, who will be on location kicking off its Red Kettle Campaign for the season as well.
