Fred Leeb to Speak to Senior Mens Club

Fred Leeb, of the Non-Profit Management Group, will speak to the Senior Mens Club of Birmingham on the topic "An Emergency Manager's Role".

Mr. Leeb was appointed by the Governor of Michigan to be the Emergency Financial Manager for the City of Pontiac for a 15 month period that ended June 30, 2010. He led the city to two years of surplus after many years of deficits, upgraded the City’s bond rating, negotiated successfully with six unions and generated over $115 million in multi-year benefits. At that time, the City of Pontiac had about 65,000 people, a budget of about $100 million and 450 employees.
