Evening of Nordic Folk Music with the Danish String Quartet, Chamber Music Society of Detroit

Danish
String Quartet @ the Max

An Evening of Nordic Folk
Music

Featuring
folk tunes from Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Faroe Islands, this concert
follows a new, self-produced folk music CD the quartet recently recorded as a labor of love.  “It is going to be
an album full of magic, groove, beauty, longing, melancholy, tight chopping and
fast fingers flying around on the violins,” says the Quartet.  It will “tell the stories of our
Scandinavian roots in a rarely heard language – the language of a string
quartet.”
