Joe Ehrmann to Speak at Seaholm

Inspirational speaker and Parade Magazines “Most Important Coach in America,” will take time to talk with the Birmingham Public Schools community on Wednesday, Nov. 7. As an author and nationally renowned speaker, Joe Ehrmann will present his keynote address in the Seaholm High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Admission is free.


“People in the community may have seen him before in public or on TV,” said Aaron Frank, athletic director at Seaholm High School. “Regardless, I promise you that this will be one of the most impactful evenings of your career.”


Ehrmann is a 13-year National Football League standout who is the subject of Jeffrey Marx’s Pulitzer Prize winning book Season of Life. Today, he works with schools, colleges and universities, corporations, professional sports teams and communities. Teachers, coaches, parents, students and community members are invited to hear Ehrmann as he tells his remarkable and moving life story. He will discuss his vision to transform personal and public practices and community values to create a society where every man, woman and child can reach his or her greatest human potential.

“I consider Joe’s message among the most important that I have heard in an entire career in higher education,” said Craig Turner, president of Catawba College. “Every student and teacher from fifth grade to college needs to hear what Joe has to say.”
