The Christ Child Society of Detroit’s annual Christmas Home Tour will be held this year on Friday, November 30th, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. The ticket price of $45 ($60 at the door) includes a lovely luncheon and boutique fair at the Birmingham Country Club.
The five beautiful homes featured on this year's tour are all in Birmingham and Bloomfield, and include one of the first homes built in Bloomfield Village, now beautifully updated. Each will be decorated for the Christmas season by local designers.
The luncheon will feature 17 new and returning vendors, and extended shopping and dining hours from 10am until 2:30pm. There will be a $500 Somerset Collection shopping card raffle and gourmet peanut brittle gifts for purchase by chef extraordinaire Lauren Quarton.
The Christ Child Society of Detroit celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. The Society’s 440 members support several projects which help disadvantaged children in the Detroit area, including the Christ Child House, a residential treatment center for abused and neglected boys. CCS members also make and distribute more than 2,000 layettes each year for the newborns of needy families, and run a literacy program in the Pontiac school system.
