For the first time, the oldest manor home in metro-Detroit will open its doors for four unique tours during its traditionally closed seasons. Cranbrook House will offer four themed tours between February and May. Guests will be presented with recent discoveries and rarely seen treasures that provide new stories of the house and those who lived there. Visitors will journey to the second floor of the home for an exclusive peek into Ellen Booth's former bedroom suite.

On the second of four tours we’ll commemorate the role of women in the arts as we examine their contributions to the building of Cranbrook House.

Attendees should arrive at 10:45 a.m., tours will start promptly at 11 a.m. A box lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m., following the tour and presentation of the day’s theme. Docents will be available during lunch to continue the tour’s discussion. Admission is $30 per person. Space is limited, paid reservations are required and can be made by calling 248 645.3149.

*Please note: The second floor and other select areas of Cranbrook House unfortunately do not offer barrier free access. Assistance for persons using wheelchairs or walkers is recommended.
