Stomp Out Diabetes, presented by Meijer and Novo Nordisk and chaired by Lori and Marc Siegel and Lori and Maurice Pogoda, will raise awareness and funds for the Southeast Michigan chapter of the American Diabetes Association.

  • Nearly 25.8 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes, yet more 6 million remain undiagnosed

  • An additional 79 million are at risk for developing diabetes

  • Diabetes kills more people in the United States than breast cancer and AIDS combined, and it has no cure

“Stomp Out Diabetes is a dynamic event that has raised more than $250,000 for local and national diabetes research and programs,” says Mary Riegle, special events director at the American Diabetes Association’s Southeast Michigan office. “Through this event, we hope to inform people of the consequences of diabetes, avenues for prevention, and the need for a cure.”
