"Cheek to Cheek" - A benefit concert featuring Sandra Bomar and Tony Camilletti

Orchard's Fine Art Committee invites you to join us for a jazzy evening of fun and fellowship in the MAC.  On Friday Oct 25th, at 7pm, we will host a benefit concert-"Cheek to Cheek" -for SOS(South Oakland Shelter).  "Cheek to Cheek"  is a collection of standard jazz-pop classics featuring two of Motor City's finest performers: Sandra Bomar and Tony Camilletti.

Tickets are $15 at the door or $12 in advance from the church office. Proceeds will help defray costs for housing our guests from SOS (South Oakland Shelter) during the week of October 27-November 3.

As one of their many mission outreach opportunities, Orchard United Methodist Church will be hosting about 30 guests from the South Oakland Shelter (SOS) program at the end of October. SOS is a non-profit program based in Lathrup Village which helps individuals and families who are currently homeless by providing shelter, food, career building, counseling, and housing assistance. Orchard provides overnight stays for a week to the guests and also provides breakfasts, packed lunches, and dinners. Daily transportation to and from their jobs or to the SOS office, laundry services, and other activities are also offered during the week by about 200 volunteers from the church.

It takes many willing hands and hearts to provide this ministry, as well as funds. Please attend this benefit concert on Friday, October 25, to help defray those costs.
