August Theater Company presents "Rabbit Hole"
A mother. A
father. A broken home and a decaying marriage. Since the untimely
death of their son, Howie and Becca have found coping with reality very
difficult. Yet when the teenage Jason arrives haphazardly into their
lives, their entire notion of what reality is goes straight down the rabbit
hole.
David Lindsay-Abaire
flawlessly constructs an analysis of the human condition and what happens when
the foundation of the greatest American threshold is challenged: the
family.

August
Theatre Company was founded in Bloomfield Hills during the Spring of
2013. Its ensemble was fully formed shortly after. Originally created
for a chance for old high school friends who missed performing together to
have that experience again, the August Theatre Company evolved into a
larger non-profit organization that hopes to inspire all
people through theater. Their collaboration, love for theater and the
dramatic arts, as well as passion for impacting and positively influencing the
community have led to the creation of this company.

The
money raised from the online campaign will be divided among the production
costs and charity. But every dollar that we raise from tickets sales will go
directly to The Jed Foundation, which promotes emotional health and
prevents suicide among college students. Putting on this show will not only
help this important cause, but it will help us apply the theatre knowledge that
we have learned in college to the real world.
The
Jed Foundation is the
nation’s leading organization working to promote emotional health and prevent
suicide among college students, The Jed Foundation is protecting the mental health
of students across the country. With your support, we will continue to
lead the way and protect the potential of tomorrow's leaders.
