16th Annual Lenore Marwil Jewish Film Festival

The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit will host the 16th Annual Lenore Marwil Jewish Film Festival April 27-May 7, 2014, with a collection of 30 outstanding films that cover topics as diverse as a fishy business dubbed “The Louvre of Lox,” a documentary focusing on the mysterious murder of an Israeli colonel, and a love story between an Israeli attorney and a Palestinian student.

All films will be shown at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts, 6600 W. Maple Road in West Bloomfield. “Each year, hundreds of films have to be viewed in order to choose the very best in the largest Jewish film festival in the country,” said Film Festival Director Rachel Ruskin. “Each one of these films is like entering another world, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, “said Ruskin as the final touches of the festival come together.
