Weekend Weather: Cold, Wet Days Ahead

Snowfall expected to end Saturday; rain predicted Sunday.

While the snow was expected Friday afternoon and overnight, the white stuff will take a break this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday is predicted to be partly sunny all day, with a high near 25 degrees. Bundle up if you decide to take advantage of the snow on the ground, however — wind chills could reach down to zero, with a northeast wind predicted to blow all day between 6-10 mph.

Overnight Saturday, skies are expected to remain partly cloud, with temperatures dipping down to 16 degrees.

Meanwhile Sunday, the clouds will stay in the sky most of the day and there's a 20 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m. Highs will creep back up above freezing, reaching 39 degrees. The wind will continue to blow, with gusts reaching as fast as 21 miles per hour.

Looking ahead to Monday, rain is expected to continue overnight Sunday, making for a wet morning commute. The rain is expected to continue until 1 p.m. Monday, with the chance it could turn into snow during the day, though the National Weather Service expects little to no accumulation. The high is expected to reach 43 degrees.
